A degree is just a baseline. What you can do with the knowledge and skills you have acquired is what makes you a good hire. I’ve never utilized a degree level in my hiring process; rather, I look at portfolios, case studies, manifestos, and thought leadership to see what the individual can do, how they think about the value of their work to their client, and how they communicate with others. Work is evolving, so should our methods of identifying talent.
